26/04/2008 14:08 - (SA)
London - Madonna has debuted her new album on MySpace.
The pop superstar's latest album Hard Candy was made exclusively available on the social networking website on Friday, four days before its official release on Tuesday.
Hard Candy, which has hip-hop influences, has 12 tracks and features collaborations with Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams.
Madonna is not the first music act to premiere their new material on MySpace.
Black Eyed Peas, 50 Cent, Outkast and Nine Inch Nails have also made their albums available on the popular internet site.
The 49-year-old star recently revealed her sex drive inspired her to write tracks for her new album.
She said: "Candy Shop was the first song I wrote with Pharrell. It is one of my favourites on the record. It personifies the mood I was in while making the record - lots of innuendo. You can get so many things in a candy shop!" - Bang Showbiz.com
