Finding WMD not a priority

London - The priority of the US-led war in Iraq is to "disable" President Saddam Hussein's regime rather than to seek out weapons of mass destruction, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said on Tuesday.
"There will be a point in time when we are able properly to begin the search for weapons of mass destruction," Blair told his first full news conference since the war began last Thursday.
"The idea that we can suddenly discover (such weapons) is a lot more difficult in a country the size of Iraq," Blair told reporters in London.
"Of course, once the regime is out, there will be all sorts of people that will be willing to give us the information that we seek. And in the meantime what is important is to continue to do what we can to disable the regime."
Blair added: "There is absolutely no doubt at all that these weapons of mass destruction exist."
