As-Saliyah - Former Iraqi oil minister Amer Mohammad Rashid, a key figure in Iraq's clandestine weapons programme, surrendered on Monday to US-led coalition forces, US Central Command said in a statement released here.
Rashid, a former adviser to President Saddam Hussein, was number 47 on the coalition's list of most wanted figures of the regime, identified as the six of spades in the pack of cards issued as an aid to tracking them down.
As well as being prominent in the development of Iraq's missiles, Rashid was married to Rihab Taba, known as "Dr Germ", the head of Iraq's biological weapons programme.
