Iraqi war over - tomorrow

Washington - President George W Bush will declare the fighting in Iraq essentially over in a speech to be delivered from the deck of a US aircraft carrier at sea on Thursday.
"He
will say that "the major combat operations have ended" in the address, which he will make aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln as it heads toward San Diego, said spokesperson Ari Fleischer.
US officials have warned that Bush will not declare victory in Iraq, and Fleischer said that the speech was "not, from a legal point of view, the end of hostilities" in Iraq even though Saddam Hussein has been ousted.
