Baghdad - Iraq's interim Governing Council has named a new cabinet -- the first post-war government -- with 25 ministers, council member Yunnadam Yussif Kanna said Monday.
The foreign affairs portfolio will go to a Kurd, Hoshiar al-Zibari, while finance goes to Kamel al-Kailani, another council member, Nasseer al-Shadershi, said.
One ministerial post will go to a woman, Nisrin Mustafa Burwari, but it was not yet clear which one.
The full list was due to be announced later Monday.
The cabinet is also to be divided up among the country's various communities, with 13 ministries expected to go to Shi'ites, five to Sunnis, five to Kurds, one to the Turkmen and one to the Christians.
