Zapatero not swayed by Bush

Madrid - Spain's prime minister-elect, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, reaffirmed Wednesday that Spanish troops would leave Iraq, rejecting an appeal by US President George W Bush for such forces to remain.
"I will listen to Mr Bush, but my position is very clear and very firm," he told radio station Onda Cero.
Bush, in comments on Tuesday directed to the majority of Dutch citizens who oppose their troops being in Iraq, said: "I would ask them to think about the Iraqi citizens who don't want people to withdraw because they want to be free."
Zapatero said on Monday, the day after his Socialist Party dealt a suprise election defeat to the pro-Bush ruling Popular Party, that he would see through a promise to withdraw Spain's 1 300 troops from Iraq.
