Baghdad - The arraignments of Saddam Hussein and 11 of his aides on preliminary charges connected with their years in power ended on Thursday evening, a US military spokesperson said.
"It finished 10 minutes ago," the spokesperson said, about the proceedings in a heavily guarded courtroom at the US-led multinational forces' headquarters of Camp Victory.
Saddam and 11 of his cronies, including his first cousin Hassan Ali Majid, better known as "Chemical Ali", were brought in separately to the Iraqi Special Tribunal, set up to judge members of his ousted regime.
