Five killed by car bomb

Khan Bani Sad, Iraq - A car bomb exploded near the town of Khan Bani Sad, northeast of Baghdad, on Saturday killing four policemen and one civilian, according to Iraqi security and medical sources.
Separately, a car bomb wounded six Iraqis in the main northern city of Mosul, the US military said.
The four policemen were killed when they inspected the booby-trapped vehicle which had been parked on the main highway outside Khan Bani Sad and it exploded, said national guardsman Tahsin Mahmoud.
One civilian driving by was killed and two other passers-by wounded in the attack, 20km northeast of Baghdad, Mahmoud added.
Ahmed Fuad, the morgue director at the nearby Baquba general hospital, confirmed five people were killed in the bombing.
In Mosul, the US military reported that six Iraqis, including a child, were wounded by a car bomb that set a home ablaze.
