Egypt's envoy to Iraq executed

Dubai - The group of al-Qaeda's frontman in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, announced on Thursday in a purported message posted on the internet the execution of Egypt's top envoy to Iraq.
Ihab al-Sherif was seized in Baghdad on Saturday.
"We announce that the judgement of God Almighty has been executed on the ambassador of the infidels, the ambassador of Egypt," the group said in a statement which could not be authenticated.
