Rome - Police in northern Italy have arrested a brother of the suspect in the failed July 21 London bombings who is in custody in Rome, the Ansa news agency reported.
Fati Issac, brother of Hamdi Issac, who is also known as Osman Hussain, was interrogated by anti-terrorist police in the northern town of Brescia.
Ansa said Fati Issac is suspected of having hidden or destroyed documents considered important by investigators.
Fati Issac was contacted by his brother when the latter fled London for Rome by train on July 26 following the attempted attack in the British capital five days earlier.
Another brother, Remzi Issac, was also arrested in Rome on Friday for having sheltered Hamdi and for holding fake documents in his shop in the Italian capital.
The investigation into the suspect wanted by London has uncovered a network of people originally from nations in the Horn of Africa who have helped Hamdi Issac in his flight from Britain, Italy's interior minister Giuseppe Pisanu said Saturday.
Some 15 searches have been carried out in investigating the people contacted by the fugitive suspect.
