07/08/2003 11:32 - (SA)
Baghdad - Seven people were killed and 40 wounded after a car bomb exploded outside Jordan's embassy in Baghdad on Thursday, a doctor at the city's Iskan children's hospital, Nawfal Solinan, said.
Solinan had earlier put the toll at 11 killed and 32 wounded before correcting himself.
He said the dead were an Iraqi child, a woman, two men, an Iraqi policeman and two Jordanians, and adding that some of the wounded were in serious condition.
He spoke as ambulance sirens wailed and medics pulled out bodies caked in blood to rush them inside the emergency room.
