Blast at UN in Baghdad: 16 dead

Baghdad - At least 16 people were killed in the bomb blast that ripped through the UN headquarters in Baghdad on Tuesday, a UN spokesperson and medical sources said.
"I saw in front of me 13 dead," UN spokesperson Veronique Taveau told AFP by phone as she surveyed the burnt out parking lot at the UN compound in the northeast of the capital.
Three more people were reported dead and 53 wounded at five hospitals around Baghdad, according to medical sources said.
