Hong Kong - A six-months pregnant woman died with her unborn baby in western China after agreeing to work as a drugs mule and swallowing 96 capsules of heroin, a news report said on Tuesday.

The woman got off a bus travelling from Ruili to Kunming in China's Yunnan province, walked a few steps and then collapsed and died, the Hong Kong edition of the China Daily reported.

An autopsy showed she had swallowed 300 grams of heroin contained in 96 capsules which broke open inside her stomach, poisoning her and her baby, the newspaper said. - Sapa-dpa
