Edinburgh - African leaders on Friday joined British Prime Minister and G8 summit host Tony Blair in condemning the London attacks which killed more than 50 people and injured 700.
Blair, speaking after the Group of Eight (G8) industrial nations met their counterparts from Algeria, Nigeria, Senegal, Ethiopia, Tanzania and South Africa, said the meeting spotlighted world leaders' commitment to combating terrorism.
"The politics that we represent will win and triumph over terrorism," Blair said, with African and G8 leaders standing shoulder to shoulder with him.
G8 nations include the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Italy, Canada, Japan and Russia.
