Troops move on synagogue
18/08/2005 14:36 - (SA)
Neve Dekalim - Israeli police dragged religious Jews kicking and screaming out of a synagogue complex in the Gaza Strip's largest settlement on Thursday.
Teenagers and adults were being carried out by their arms and legs, screaming abuse at the police.
The first column of security forces surged into the Neve Dekalim building, which contains three separate synagogues, at about 15:40 (12:40 GMT).
The decision to move into the complex, where up to 2 000 religious Jews have taken refuge, came after the expiry of a police deadline for those inside to leave.
