Michael Jackson 'anti-Semitic'

Los Angeles - The Anti-Defamation League on Wednesday accused pop star Michael Jackson of anti-Semitism after a United States television channel played a tape, on which the embattled singer appears to have made some comments offensive to Jews.
The Jewish organisation was reacting to recordings aired Tuesday on ABC's television programme "Good Morning America," on which Jackson was heard saying of Jews: "They suck ... They're like leeches. ... I'm so tired of it ... It is a conspiracy. The Jews do it on purpose."
In a statement, Abraham Foxman, ADL national director, said Michael Jackson "has an anti-Semitic streak."
"It seems every time he has a problem in his life, he blames it on Jews," the statement went on to say. "It is sad that Jackson is infected with classically stereotypical ideas of Jews as all-powerful, money-grubbing and manipulative."
Jackson infuriated Jewish groups in 1995, after he released the song They Don't Care About Us, which the groups said contained anti-Semitic lyrics.
The singer later changed them.
"While he apologised for, and later removed the anti-Jewish lyrics in They Don't Care About Us, it is clear now that he never was able to completely remove the bigotry from his own heart," Foxman said.
Raymone Bain, a spokesperson for Jackson, did not respond to telephone calls.
Jackson, 47, is currently living in Bahrain after he was acquitted last June of sexual molestation charges.
