Washington - The United States and China intend to deepen co-operation to meet global security threats, US President George W Bush said on Thursday.

"We intend to deepen our co-operation in addressing threats to global security - including the nuclear ambitions of Iran - the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, the violence unleashed by terrorists and extremists and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction," Bush said as he welcomed Chinese President Hu Jintao to the White House.
