Jeeps roll into West bank town

El-Bireh - About 30 Israeli army jeeps rolled into the West Bank town of
El-Bireh on Wednesday and surrounded various buildings.
Local security sources said a member of governing Palestinian
faction Hamas was believed to be inside the buildings.
The troops drove into El-Bireh and took up position around some
houses, amid the sound of gunfire, said an AFP correspondent at the
scene.
The Israeli military said it was investigating the report.
