02/10/2006 23:10 - (SA)
London - A man was stabbed to death when he
asked a gang of youths to stop making a noise outside his London
house, police said on Monday.
The 40-year-old victim, who has not been named, was attacked
by a group of up to a dozen people outside a block of flats in
Evergreen Square, Hackney, on Sunday.
"It is believed the victim asked the youths to reduce the
noise as it was getting late and he had work the next day,"
police said. "One or more of the youths subsequently stabbed the
victim."
The man was taken to Homerton hospital in Hackney where he
died from his injuries. Four male youths, aged between 15 and 17, have been arrested
and are in custody at east London
police stations.
