Berlin - A single player or a syndicate has scooped Germany's biggest ever lottery jackpot of €37.6m (R370.7m), the organisers said on Monday.
"If it is one player and not a syndicate, it would be the biggest single win in the history of the German lottery," said Horst Mentrup of Lotto GmbH, based in Potsdam near Berlin.
The winning ticket cost €9.50 and was bought in the western region of North Rhine-Westphalia, but the holder had not claimed their prize by Monday morning, two days after Saturday's draw.
The lucky numbers were 28, 30, 31, 34, 41, 48 and the all-important bonus ball was four.
Punters spent €148.3m on tickets.
