Suicide woman's family sue CNN

Miami - The family of a missing boy's mother who committed suicide after being quizzed by CNN host Nancy Grace is suing the former prosecutor and the network, according to court documents filed on Tuesday.
A wrongful death lawsuit lodged in Florida alleges that CNN's Headline News and Grace - renowned for her aggressive, no-nonsense interview technique - were responsible for Melinda Duckett's suicide.
Duckett shot herself on September 8 after being interviewed on Grace's show in connection with the disappearance of her son Trenton, aged two.
Lawyers for the dead woman's parents claim Duckett was duped into appearing on the programme on the pretext that it would assist the search for her son.
Once on the show, Duckett was surprised "with accusations, questions and verbal assaults clearly intending to intimate that she murdered her child", the lawsuit filed in Lake County, Florida, alleges.
Headline News, a CNN network, said in a statement it was standing behind Grace but did not comment on the specific allegations.
"We stand by Nancy Grace and fully support her, as we have from the beginning of this case," the statement said.
According to local media reports in Florida, Melinda Duckett is the prime suspect in the disappearance of her son, who has still not been found since he vanished in August.
Grace, who pursued a successful career as a prosecutor following the murder of her fiancé while she was a student, is an outspoken advocate of victims' rights on her daily television show.
