Litvinenko's contact held

Rome - Police on Sunday arrested an Italian man who met with Alexander Litvinenko on the day the former Russian spy fell ill from radiation poisoning, news agencies reported. Mario Scaramella was arrested in Naples after returning from London, the ANSA and Apcom agencies reported.
Rome prosecutors have been investigating Scaramella for violating secrets and possible arms trafficking. Scaramella met with Litvinenko at a London sushi bar on November 1, the day the former KGB agent fell ill.
Litvinenko died on November 23.
