Robber spoils granny's Xmas

London - A heartless robber ejected an elderly woman from the car he had just stolen, after discovering she was hidden among the piles of Christmas gifts in the back of the vehicle.
The youth hoping for just a Christmas gift haul was apparently taken by surprise after leaping into the Volvo car parked outside a house in Redditch, a town in the English Midlands.
After driving 100m along the road he noticed the woman in the rear-view mirror with the gifts she had just been given by her family, stopped the car and dragged her out on to the pavement.
"Although the woman was not hurt she was obviously left very shaken," said officer Matthew Hunt," explaining how the incident happened on Christmas Day on Monday.
"It happened so fast that I don't think she realised what was happening at the time and she is quite distressed, particularly as this was Christmas Day and her presents were still in the back of the car."
"This was a shocking thing to happen to a decent family who didn't deserve all this hassle at Christmas, let alone any time."
