Clinton cookies cause a stir

White Plains, New York - A post office was evacuated as secret service agents and the local bomb squad responded to a suspicious package addressed to former US President Bill Clinton.
The cause of all the fuss? A box of cookies.
Officials at the New Castle Post Office found a "suspicious" package addressed to the former president on Thursday, said secret service spokesperson Kim Bruce.
An incorrect address for the home of the former president and his wife, senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, roused suspicions, Bruce told The Journal News.
After the post office was evacuated, a member of the bomb squad, dressed in protective gear, approached the package and checked it with a portable X-ray device.
When no bomb parts were seen, the package was opened, revealing the cookies.
The cookies were then turned over to the secret service and the post office reopened.
Bruce declined to say who sent the cookies or whether they were ever delivered to the Clintons.
