Passenger hurt in plane toilet

Frankfurt - Four Lufthansa passengers were injured when the jumbo jet in which they were travelling hit turbulence over the Indian Ocean, said the German airline on Monday.
The Boeing 747 jet was shaken about two hours after leaving Singapore on a flight to Frankfurt, where it landed early on Monday morning.
The four had scratches and bruises, mainly on the legs.
One was in a toilet at the time and the other three were in their seats with their seatbelts unbuckled. The other 316 passengers were not injured.
Lufthansa has been instructing passengers since January 1 to keep belts fastened constantly as a precaution.
A doctor travelling on the jumbo gave the four passengers first aid and all four were taken to a Frankfurt hospital for check-ups after landing, then discharged.
Lufthansa said the sudden turbulence near the Bay of Bengal was not foreseeable and had not been unusually strong. - Sapa-dpa
