Clinton pulls ahead of Obama

Washington - Hillary Clinton has taken a 15 percentage point lead over fellow US Senator Barack Obama in the race for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, according to poll results published on Tuesday.
The New York senator is up seven percentage points in the past three weeks, according to the survey by USA Today and Gallup polling organisation.
About 38% of Democratic and Democrat-leaning respondents expressed support for Clinton.
Support for Obama was down three points, to 23% during the same time period.
In the race for the Republican nomination, meanwhile, former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani maintained a solid lead over US Senator John McCain, by 34% over 20%.
Analysts said results from the poll, which surveyed 1 010 adults, suggest that Clinton may have benefited over Obama from her performance during last month's Democratic candidates' debate.
