9 family members killed

Dhaka, Bangladesh - Nine members of a family were killed on Wednesday when they were run over by an express train in a town near Bangladesh's capital, a news agency reported.
It was not immediately clear how the family came to be on the unfenced tracks in front of their home in Mymensingh district, 112km north of the national capital, Dhaka, the United News of Bangladesh said.
Police were investigating the incident.
A private television network, CBS News, however quoted neighbours as saying the family may have intentionally jumped in front of the speeding train in a mass suicide. It gave no further details.
Train services were disrupted on the northern lines following the accident.
Accidents - including collisions or derailments - are common on Bangladesh's railway system, where tracks and level crossings are often unguarded in rural areas.
Last month, a train collided with a bus that ignored a stop signal at a crossing in northern Tangail town, killing at least four people and injuring about 30 others.
