Quake rocks Papua New Guinea

Canberra - A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude 6.7 rocked eastern Papua New Guinea on Thursday, the Hong Kong Observatory said.
The quake hit just before17:00 Hong Kong time (09:00 GMT) with the epicentre about 380km north of the capital, Port Moresby, the observatory said in a statement.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre on Hawaii said there was no tsunami warning.
"Based on all available data, a destructive Pacific-wide tsunami is not expected," the centre said in a statement.
Port Moresby's disaster management centre could not be immediately contacted for comment. There were no immediate reports of damage.
