London - A British teacher jailed in Sudan for insulting Islam by allowing her class to name a teddy bear Muhammad arrived back in Britain on Tuesday after a Sudanese presidential pardon, media reports said.
Gillian Gibbons, a 54-year-old mother of two, left Khartoum on Monday evening on an Emirates flight to Dubai, where she caught another Emirates flight, which landed shortly after 07:00 GMT at London's Heathrow airport.
She was accompanied on her journey by the two British Muslim members of the House of Lords who secured her pardon by Sudan's President Omar al-Beshir.
