London - Two people are feared dead after a mid-air collision between two light aircraft on Sunday, British police said.
After the collision, one of the planes, with one person on board, managed to land safely at East Midlands airport in central England, but another crash-landed in a field in the central county of Staffordshire.
The airport was closed for several hours after the crash, which was reported to emergency services at 12:20 GMT.
"At this stage, we believe that two persons have lost their lives," a police spokesperson said.
