Drunk locked in plane toilet

Moscow - A drunken passenger was locked in an aircraft toilet on Thursday after picking a fight with others aboard an Aeroflot flight, Russian news agency Interfax reported.
An airline hostess said it became apparent during the flight check-in that the passenger, "teetering and agitated," was heavily drunk.
The inebriated passenger was seated by airline staff at the rear of the plane but an hour into the flight became rowdy and stood up, shouting that the plane had been hijacked, Interfax quoted the Aeroflot stewardess as saying.
The man's agitation only grew as passengers took turns trying to calm him.
"A fight broke out and one passenger in army camouflage managed to calm the drunkard: tying his hands, dragging him into and locking the toilets," the hostess said.
The man was kept in the lavatory for the remainder of the short flight from Russia's European enclave Kaliningrad to Moscow.
"But even then he didn't cool down. He broke the mirror," she added.
Russia's Interior Ministry has been considering an alcohol ban on flights in response to many cases of drunken violence in recent years, news agency Itar-Tass reported.
Passengers drunk even before departure cause disturbances that delay flights or worse.
A flight in February from Moscow to Bangkok was delayed for 10 hours after three inebriated passengers smoked cigarettes on the plane and fought with the cabin crew.
