Cops probe Shannon mystery Cops find missing UK girl 'I've been everywhere'

London - British police say a nine-year-old girl found hidden inside a distant relative's house after disappearing nearly four weeks ago is recovering.

Police spent Saturday questioning Shannon Matthews to establish what happened to her after she went missing on February 19.

They say the girl is in police custody and has been watching DVDs and playing with a kitten.

Shannon's parents say they are overwhelmed by the news and can't wait to see her.

Shannon was found hidden in the drawer of a divan bed on Friday at a row house near her home in Dewsbury, about 300km north of London.

Michael Donovan has been arrested on suspicion of abducting her. The 39-year-old is the uncle of Shannon's stepfather, Craig Meehan.
