21/03/2008 21:02 - (SA)
Paris - US Senator John McCain says any breach of passport privacy deserves an apology and a "full investigation."
The US State Department has said McCain's passport files were breached along with those of two other presidential candidates - Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
McCain says "corrective action should be taken," and notes that privacy is valued in the United States.
McCain is in Paris as part of a weeklong tour of the Middle East and Europe.
