20 injured in cable car smash

Turin - At least 20 people were slightly injured on Saturday when a cable car failed to brake in the Italian Alps near Sestriere in the Turin region.
Passengers sustained bruises and broken bones. The cable car had not slowed down on arrival and slammed into a cement structure, initial investigations showed.
Around 10 people had to be treated in hospitals, Italian media reported. Police were investigating the cause of the accident in the ski resort. - Sapa-dpa
