Girl 'signed S&M contract'

Copenhagen - A Danish court has jailed a man for sexually abusing his former girlfriend, despite the fact that she had signed a contract agreeing to be his sex slave, media here reported on Friday.

The 24-year-old man, whose name was not given, had held a woman with whom he had previously had a sadomasochistic relationship bound in a cellar.

He whipped and raped her, but insisted she had agreed to the abuse by signing a "sex slave contract," the Ritzau news agency reported.

A Copenhagen court ruled the man had tricked her into signing the contract, and sentenced him to three years behind bars.

The couple had met after splitting up so the woman could sign some papers.

She told the court she had not noticed he had slipped a contract into the pile stating that she agreed to be his slave in a sadomasochistic relationship, Ritzau reported.

The man had shown up at her apartment a week later, handcuffed and gagged her and drove her to their former home. After abusing her, he had left her chained to a water pipe in the cellar, from where she had finally managed to escape.

In addition to the prison term, the court sentenced the 24-year-old to pay his former girlfriend compensation of about €9 600.
