Jerusalem - Israeli police said they raided Jerusalem's city hall and seized documents as part of a widening corruption investigation against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Olmert was suspected of accepting large sums of cash from a Jewish American donor. Some of the donations were believed to have taken place during Olmert's 10-year tenure as mayor of Jerusalem.

Police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said the police's fraud unit took part in Monday's raid.
