New Delhi - A series of bomb blasts at markets in the northwestern Indian city of Jaipur has killed 35 people, NDTV television said, but the toll could not be immediately confirmed.
Police said at least five bombs tore through crowded markets in the city, the capital of western Rajasthan state, and put their initial estimate of the toll at six.
"It's a terror attack," said police director general Amarjot Singh Gill.
Scores of people were taken to hospital in Jaipur, some 260 kilometres (160 miles) from New Delhi.
