Belgrade - Bosnian Serb wartimes leader and top war crimes suspect Radovan Karadzic has been arrested, Serbian President Boris Tadic's office said on Monday.

A presidential statement said that "Radovan Karadzic was located and arrested tonight" by Serbian security officers.

"Karadzic was brought to the investigative judge of the War Crimes Court in Belgrade, in accordance with the law on cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia," the statement said.
