87 die in Kyrgyz crash

Bishkek - At least 87 people died on Sunday after a passenger plane crashed in the Kyrgyzstan capital of Bishkek.
"According to our latest information, 87 perished and 12 were hospitalised in the trauma unit - including two who are in very serious condition," Health Ministry spokesperson Yelena Bayalinova told AFP.
The Boeing-737, operated by Kyrgyz air company Itek Air, crashed shortly after take-off from Bishkek's Manas airport, according to the Civil Aviation Ministry.
