Theissen 'slept well' after low-key launch

Mario Theissen said he "slept well" the night before BMW-Sauber's new F1.07 car was launched in a low-key ceremony on Tuesday.

In the same Spanish city of Valencia a day earlier, rival team McLaren's spectacular event - including a F1 street demonstration, fireworks and a performance by Cirque du Soleil - is understood to have left Ron Dennis with a $2m bill.

In stark contrast was the BMW-Sauber launch, where the most elaborate touch was a dome-like shroud that was peeled back to reveal the new car on a turntable.

Key team personnel then sat at a long table for a Q&A.

"I can only say I slept very well," BMW motor sport director Theissen said. "I don't know about Ron Dennis."
