    Three decades at Woodside

TO celebrate its 30th anniversary the Woodside Special Care Centre for severely intellectually and physically disabled children and young adults is to hold open days on 12, 13 and 14 April at the premises on the corner of Seventh Avenue and Lawson Road.

Daily programmes will be on display in the wards and the public is invited to come along and see what disabled people are capable of doing.

There will also be an information centre and free blood pressure tests are on offer.

On 14 April, the actual birthday of the centre, entertainment will be provided by the EOAN group and Care Clowns, and there will also be music and a jumping castle. Boerewors rolls will be on sale together with goodies from the tuck shop and stalls.

The public is invited to come along and spend time with these special children and enjoy a slice of the birthday cake.

For more information phone Cheryl Beaton on (021) 696-2811.
