POLICEMEN from Muizenberg and Ocean View have been honoured by their community police forums.
Constable Gerard Meyer of Muizenberg Police was recently chosen as Policeman of the Year for 2005 by the Muizenberg Community Police Forum.
The 21-year-old constable is the son of a former police captain and joined the police in May 2003.
Meyer said he has a passion for helping people and is concerned about gangsterism and drugs, especially the crystal methamphetamine (tik) problem. "The youth must say no to gangsterism and drugs," he said.
