Nash's boys have done it again

The stars of the Nash Soccer Academy in Ocean View have shone again.

The u/13 team has won this year's Cape District soccer league and also come out tops in the Grand Challenge Trophy. This year was the first year the team played in the league and they outclassed several top teams, including one that had nine district players in it.

On their way to victory, the young champions scored 36 goals and conceded only seven. They added another 14 goals in four matches during the Grand Challenge.

The top goal scorer was Shane Petersen, with 18 league and two Grand Challenge goals.

"It's our first year and we win the league," says the Academy's founder, Nash Booysen. "We focused on the basics -stopping the ball, controlling the ball and positional play. I think we have a bright future."
