Fish Hoek surges to second victory in a row
    Derek Harvey

Another fine team effort saw Fish Hoek?surge to a?nine-wicket victory over Langa at the weekend. Some good bowling by Howells (2/19) and McClellan (2/6) - and Marc de Beer again showing his worth with 3/25.

Langa were all out for 91. Fish Hoek in reply scored 182. Pedersen (37) and Rory O'Brien (37) provided the resistance for a lead of 91.

The home team then had Langa? 40/2 at close the previous week. This Saturday saw Langa all out for 177 with Ryan Bekker continuing his excellent form, taking 4/35, and Neil McClellen with varied spin getting 4/53 to give him seven wickets in the match.

This left the home team to get 87 for victory - and this they did in fine style.

Derek Pedersen scored a fluid 64 no (12 boundaries) to see Fish Hoek to an excellent win.

One can only wonder at the issues involved in this fine batsman?not getting recognition for provincial honours. Riaan van Eeden was the player of the week, scoring 104 and taking five wickets for the third team after a long lay off.

Another good weekend for the club!
