The town cricket side continued their winning ways with a fine away victory against Northerns/Goodwood cricket club on Saturday. A sizeable total of 244/8 in the allotted 50 overs saw Fish Hoek win by 128 runs in this one-day game.
Derek Pedersen was once again at his best, scoring a fine 82 (10 fours), with Wayne Holman (21) and De Beer (23) providing the back up. Northerns could only manage 116 all out in reply against a very good Fish Hoek attack. Steve Howells picked up 3 for 23 and Pedersen proved his all-round capabilities, taking 3 for 29.
One of the highlights of the Fish Hoek innings was a towering six, hit by Steve Howells,?described as the biggest ever hit at the ground. He ended with 13 off 5 balls.
Fish Hoek now have two wins in the limited overs competition to go with their two league wins and are unbeaten this season.
