Pedersen shines, but Fish Hoek suffers first defeat of season
    Derek Harvey

THE home side lost by 95 runs to Glamorgan in their first division (1B) limited overs game on Saturday.

Glamorgan, batting first, scored a sizeable?255/8?in their 50 overs (Allie 66, Brown 62). Fish Hoek replied with?160?all out. This was their first defeat this season but they are by no means out of the one day competition, having won the first two games.

Derek Pedersen was once again the star of the side. Following his century and two big half centuries, his 73 (7x4) showed great character, with wickets falling regularly at the other end.?Wicket takers included?Chris Lyons with 2/19.???????

Steven Brandt's second XI earned a hard fought win against?Milnerton. Brandt took four wickets and Dennis Bowditch scored 51. Young Richard Sills scored 44 n.o. to take them to victory.

Craig Miller scored his second century of the season for Wynne's fighting fourths. His hitting has become legendary and his innings of 105 included seven towering sixes.

Miller, Mark Wynne, Derek Pedersen and Riaan van Eeden have all scored centuries this season.
