Helderberg beat Langa by 86 runs in a one-day match played at the Helderzicht Sportsgrounds on Saturday on a pitch that was conducive to fast bowling.
Langa won the toss and elected to bowl first and soon had their hosts in trouble after knocking over three wickets in nine overs for 30 runs.
F Adams and M Stuurman then came to the crease and steadied the innings by putting together a partnership of 90 runs to take their team to 120/4.
The only other batsman to get among the runs was N Swarts, who towards the end of the innings hit a quick 23 to take the score to 201/9.
The best of the Helderberg's batsmen were F Adonis (65) and M Stuurman (56).
Langa's best bowler was N Phongolo, who finished his spell with 9-1-3-26.
It was then Langa's turn at the crease and they too found themselves in trouble early on in their innings and at one stage they were four wickets down for only 24 runs after 13 overs.
They never really recovered after this poor start and were eventually all out for 115.
The only Langa batsman who put up any resistance was N Phongola, who scored 66 runs.
Helderberg's best bowlers were N Swarts 6-3-8-2, R Thomas 8-1-2-14 and S Fredericks 7-1-3-3.
Helderberg's second team scored a convincing win over Montrose in their away one-day game on Saturday.
Montrose batted first and were all out for a meagre 63 runs in only 24 overs.
Best bowler
The best of the bowlers were Duncan Moss with an outstanding spell of six overs in which he took five wickets for only 14 runs. He was well supported by C Lottering with 9-3-19.
Helderberg needed only 11 overs to pass the score with Grant Moss top scoring with 30 runs.
The fourth team played Wesbank A and beat them by 117 runs. Helderberg won the toss and batted first scoring 207/8 in 40 overs. Top batsmen were G Hurling (64), S Erasmus (48) and I Crowe (22). Wesbank were bowled out for 90 in 10 overs.
The pick of the bowlers was V Simpson with a fantastic haul of six wickets for 20 runs in only six overs.
