FALSE BAY Inflatable Boat Club (FBIBC) will host the Strand National Rubberduck event from March 28 to 30 in Strand. About 35 boats from all over the country are expected to participate. They will compete in three different classes - Standard, Blueprint and Modified class.

On Friday racing will start at 10:00 with two heats in each class, and then the finals.

This will be a surf circuit in the area between the lifesavers club and the pipe. Surfers must please take note of the activities in that area from 07:00 to 14:00. On Saturday it will be the same layout and racing, as on Friday.

On Sunday they move to the main beach in front of Deep Blue Café for a longhaul event (140 km) between Strand, Macassar and Gordons Bay, starting at 10:00. For enquiries phone Herman on 083 680 8527 or Johan on 079 874 0761.
