"DISGRUNTLED senior shopper" of Somerset West writes:
I would like to complain about the appalling lack of dedicated parking for senior citizens at the Somerset Mall. There are only plus minus four parking spaces for their use.
I have seen many elderly people battling the elements to get to the entrances of the Mall after having had to park a long way away!
These people have worked long and hard and deserve a few privileges in their old age.
The irony of this is that there are plenty of parking for mums and dads with prams!
I have absolutely no objection to this, but what about the elderly?
Please, lets get real, these mums and dads are all fit and strong and young.
I am quite sure that there are many people out there who would support me!
I am aware that there is basement parking for the elder-ly, but one does not always want to go that route. It is easier to get to Woolworths or Pick 'n Pay for example, from the outside parking.
