Claire Binneman from PATCH, the Helderberg Child Abuse Centre, writes:
We would like to put out an appeal to the Helderberg community to please donate their unwanted children's clothes and toys to PATCH/Helderberg Child Abuse Centre.
Not only do we use these clothes and toys for our child clients, but we are planning to sell the excess to raise some much needed funds for our organisation.
We will be hosting a Jumble sale and all proceeds will go to the continuation of our much needed services to the Helderberg community.
We are hoping to make this an ongoing and regular event. Interested persons can drop off their donations at the PATCH office, corner Dummer and Dorhill Streets, Somerset West. Alternatively you can phone (021) 852-6110.
We would also like to take this opportunity to appeal to any interested persons to come and join our fundraising team at PATCH. If you are interested in getting involved with our fundraising projects, phone me on the above number.
We are finding it increasingly difficult to deal with the continuous increase in reported cases of child sexual abuse in the Helderberg. All our running costs are met by the generosity of the Helderberg community and we are partially subsidised by the Department of Social Development. Please help us help abused children.
